PIXIE
Pixie is a Canadian contemporary artist living and working in Toronto. She lived in England for 30 years, where she also had a studio. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), Pixie has received numerous Ontario Arts Council awards and an Ontario Society of Arts award. While at OCAD, Pixie apprenticed to British sculptor Lynn Chadwick. Later, she was Artist-in-Residence at the Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Studio in the USA and worked with master printmaker Anthony Kirk. As a member of OCAD’s Fine Arts faculty for twelve years, she both taught and served in key administrative roles. The careful, disciplined attention to scale, form and light so striking in all of Pixie’s work, especially her sculptures and photographs, is also evident in her fascination with fortuitously found objects. Her work has been exhibited both domestically and internationally, including the Royal Academy of Art, Canada House (London, UK), Harbourfront Centre Art Gallery, The Royal Canadian Academy, Hart House-University of Toronto, Queen’s University, as well as galleries in Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, North Bay and Sault St Marie, Ontario, Her many commissions, primarily outdoor sculptures for both private and institutional settings, include the London School of Economics, the Odette Sculpture Park in Windsor, Ontario, and several corporations. Her work has been featured in the June, 2016 issue of Architectural Digest. Pixie has also served as an advisor to the art selection commissions of the Vero Beach Museum of Art and Canada House (London, UK).

Learn MoreWhen real estate sales shifted online during the pandemic, Toronto-based agent Cailey Heaps and her team at Heaps Estrin found they were missing the face-to-face aspect of their very social jobs. “Real estate has always been a business about people more than anything,” Heaps says. To help bring that personal element back, Heaps opened the Lobby, a concept shop dedicated to fostering community while connecting consumers with local design-based businesses.
The Lobby focuses on developing a community hub vibe, where shoppers can interact and discover new artists and products. "My vision was to create a place where all these elements could intersect," says Cailey. Clearly, she has sealed the deal.

Located at the corner of Yonge Street and MacPherson Avenue, The Lobby by Heaps Estrin combines a retail store, concierge service, art gallery, event space, and real estate office. “Our foundational business is real estate, but The Lobby is the physical manifestation of all the things that we do outside of that,” Cailey Heaps of The Heaps Estrin Team told Daily Hive. “It’s all of our passions — culture, community, and concierge — coming together.”
On a low-slung block in Toronto’s upscale Rosedale neighborhood, the Lobby stands out for its colorful window displays and bold artwork. Inside, the shop proffers tasteful home goods, quietly luxurious clothing, whimsical jewelry, and a selection of books.
Not much makes us happier than a female run business with a desire to truly foster community connections. The Lobby is exactly that. Located in one of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city (Summerhill), the Lobby by Heaps Estrin offers a place to gather, discover new artists and designers, shop local and connect with likeminded people in the neighbourhood.

What is The Lobby?
We are a retail store, art gallery, and event space. We are the community and lifestyle component of the Heaps Estrin Real Estate Team. We provide a community hub where you can shop our curated retail collection, enjoy our art gallery, and attend our community events.
What is your retail return policy?
You have 14 days to return your purchase for a full refund. The product must be unused, in its original condition, with all packaging and tags still attached. You can exchange or return for store credit up to 30 days after purchase if the product is unused and its original condition.
What is your art return policy?
All art purchases are final sale. No returns or exchanges are available on art purchases.
How do I become an Artist in Residence at The Lobby?

Can I take my art with me the day I purchase it?
Your art piece will need to remain at The Lobby until the end of the artist's exhibit.
Do you ship artwork?
We can arrange to have your art piece shipped to you, however, the customer is responsible for the shipping costs.
Do you ship retail?
Yes, we can ship anywhere in Canada. Shipping costs apply.

The Lobby brings its own take on the concept of hotel concierge into the space. Drawing on a wide network of real estate, business, trade and client connections, our complimentary concierge service provides customers with support finding the best service providers and product vendors no matter your location or need.
