Niki Babouche

$240.00

Calla Haynes has created a sustainable line of Babouche slippers that embody conscientious design and celebrate Moroccan craft. Each pair is handmade and one-of-a-kind, upcycled from vintage Berber rugs that were the source material for her own recent rug interpretations. Expressing colourful flair and care, the slippers come in a multitude of colours and textures. Like all Babouche slippers, they easily accommodate the feet and are effortlessly versatile. Yet through resourcefulness and collaboration, they also stand apart by supporting local Moroccan artisans and advancing tradition forward.

Handmade from upcycled vintage Berber rugs, their Babouche mules exist in limited edition - just a handful for each rug. They boast textural details that are one-of-a-kind. Like all Babouche slippers, they are comfortable to wear and effortlessly versatile. Every pair supports local Moroccan craftspeople and their traditions.

For every Babouche purchase, they plant a tree with One Tree Planted, helping to reach their goal of carbon neutrality.

A few things to know:

  • The babouches have a leather sole. They can be worn outdoors but we recommend to avoid getting them wet.

  • Babouches are handmade in the souk of Marrakesh, Morocco. Small imperfections are possible and we consider them part of the shoe’s charm.

  • Fit: If hesitating between 2 sizes, we recommend taking the larger size.
