In Unleashing Chřomance, Tanmay K Parashar invites us into an immersive celebration of colour as emotional language — bold, unruly, and deeply human.

Rooted in the vibrant cultural fabric of Varanasi, India, where life  and death are both expressed through colour, Tanmay’s relationship with chroma began early in life as fanciful sketches and kaleidoscopic day dreams. Over time, this relationship has evolved into a practice of abstract expressionism that defies form, prioritizing sensation over structure.

Using the edge of a credit card as his brush, Tanmay creates energetic, layered compositions that evoke poignantly intense emotions within the spectator. Colour is not a background element here — it is the subject, the story, and the speaker.

Chřomance — a portmanteau of Chroma (colour) and Romance (deep attachment) — captures the essence of Tanmay's works: a passionate, unfiltered embrace of life’s emotional spectrum through colour.

This exhibition is not just meant to be seen, but felt: an invitation to be sub-merged in the exultant chaos and inexplicable harmony of being alive.
