Inspiration

Upon receiving the suggestion from a lovely Fogo Island Inn guest for socks that mirrored the colourful stripes of our perennially popular snake cushion, their knitters got to work creating the Snake Socks. With colours that are both anarchical yet carefully selected, the socks’ name pays homage to the curly cushion that inspired them.

Fabrication

Resourcefulness is in the DNA of Fogo Islanders, and this is reflected in their textile pieces: With remarkable ingenuity, their makers create colourful snake socks from ends of wool yarn. Every pair of Snake Socks are handmade and completely individual.
